Empire Zoysia is semi shade tolerant. It requires 4-5 hours full sun per day.
Luscious dark green colour.
Fine leaf texture with a luxurious soft to touch feel (not rough and intrusive).
One of the most drought tolerant turf varieties because of its deep root and underground runner system.
Grows well in clay and sandy soil areas.
Loves the coastal regions due to its salt tolerance.
Thrives in extreme heat and can tolerate cold frosty conditions.
Hard-wearing for children and animals, recovers well from injury, durable & robust, and is excellent at out-competing weeds.
Good resistance to insects and diseases which is great for the environment.
Ideal for residential yards, sloped areas, parks, sports fields, golf courses, childcare centres etc.
Sir Walter is very good at repairing itself. It thrives in full sun, however, only requires 2-3 hours sunlight to survive making it one of the most shade tolerant turf varieties available.
Sun tolerance and drought tolerant, the grass has a thick vigorous root system which allows it to access moisture and nutrients in the soil very efficiently.
Weed Resistant It has a dense growth and root system which effectively blocks weeds from penetrating the soil.
Furthermore it maintains colour in winter more than couches.
Winter Green Couch
Wintergreen Couch Grass is ideal for budget lawns. However, if the area has more than 2 hours shade this grass will die off. Overall whole cost of life will be more expensive than a quality Sir Walter or Zoysia Lawn as it will require more fertiliser, weed control and maintenance.
Wintergreen Couch Grass is well suited to the climate of South East Queensland.
If you live in a frost affected area, the Wintergreen Couch will brown off, but will recover by applying fertilizer and water.
Ideal for Residential, Commercial, Parks, Sports Fields, Road Verges, Footpaths, Dam Walls.
