For the Treatment of:
Threadworm
Caecal worm
Roundworm
Gape worm
Gizzard worm
Tapeworm in ornamental cage birds over 250g Body Weight
Restraint: Do not use in birds intended for human consumption
Contraindication: Not recommended for use in Gouldian finches
Precautions: Parrots and finches appear to be less tolerant than pigeons to levamisole therefore caution is urged when treating these breeds
Administer orally by placing in the throat of the bird, at a rate of 40mg/kg body weight (BW) Levamisole Hydrochloride and 8mg/kg BW Praziquantel,
or 1/2 tablet for birds of 250 – 500g BW, 1 tablet for birds 500 – 750g BW, 1 & 1/2 tablets for birds 750g – 1kg BW
Birds should not be fed 24 hours before treatment or 3 hours after
All birds in the same loft or cage should be treated
Three days after treatment the loft or cage should be cleaned and disinfected
Treatment during the breeding season or racing season (pigeons) is not recommended
Vomiting may occur
To reduce the likelihood of vomiting do not handle birds for at least 10 minutes after treatment
If worm problem persist consult a veterinarian
