pH is the measure of alkalinity and acidity within a liquid. pH measured on a scale from 0 – 14 with 7 being neutral, 0-6.9 is acid, 7.1 – 14 is alkaline. Each change in one pH unit reflects a tenfold increase or decrease in the pH value e.g. pH 10 is ten times more alkaline than pH 9 and one hundred times more than pH 8. It is therefore extremely important to make adjustments to pH slowly.
DIRECTIONS:
1. Using the measuring cap provided, measure the desired amount of Aqua One pH Down. 5-10ml per 100L of aquarium water to lower the pH by 0.2 per 24 hour period.
Every aquarium is unique and many factors affect pH. Use the dosage rate as a guide only and anypH adjustments should be made slowly over time.
2. Pour the pH Down near the outlet of your filtration system.
3. Re-test the pH after 12-24 hours and make adjustments as required.
