Another key ingredient in joint support is green-lipped mussels, which is a type of shellfish from New Zealand. It contains many beneficial nutrients, including omega-3 fatty acids, glucosamine, chondroitin, and antioxidants that can help support cartilage and joint health, improve mobility, and support overall health. Ingredients like glucosamine, chondroitin & green-lipped mussel are commonly grouped together for their synergistic effect. This means that their paired health benefit outweighs what is seen when used as a single additive. While these ingredients are not a cure for joint problems, it is often used in conjunction with other treatments, such as exercise and weight management, to help support joint health and mobility in dogs.
Fish oil contains EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), which are omega-3 fatty acids commonly found in marine sources. Omega-3 fatty acids are a type of essential fatty acid that cannot be produced by the body and must be obtained through diet. Omega 3 fatty acids have a number of potential health benefits for dogs, including cartilage and joint support, improved skin and coat health, and support for your dog’s eyes and brain function.
Healthy Benefits Joints & Muscles is also packed with all the essential amino acids, fats, and L-carnitine a dog needs for strong, healthy muscles. L-carnitine is an amino acid that helps turn fats into fuel for the cells, providing your dog with the energy they need to exercise and play.
Our fresh Australian chicken is carefully preserved and minimally processed to retain nutrients and maintain freshness. It’s also highly palatable. Along with chicken meal and hydrolysate, it is rich in the amino acids which help build and maintain your dog’s muscle mass.
Black Hawk Healthy Benefits Joints & Muscles is formulated to meet the nutritional levels established by the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) Dog Food Nutrient Profile for maintenance.
